KIT3 is a partnership of Melbourne-based filmmakers,

Stephen Di Gravio and Xavier Brydges.

With a friendship born out of a broken 50mm lens and years of being mistaken for one another at film school, the two filmmakers decided to morph into a single gelatinous blob and  continue pursuing their passion for storytelling under the umbrella of KIT3.

Stephen Di Gravio is a Naarm/ Melbourne-based writer, director & producer. Having been raised by his Nonno and Nonna in the regional metropolitan area of Newcastle, Stephen’s work often explores multicultural values through a melan-comedic lens (melancholy + comedy) and a strong focus on themes of empathy and understanding through storytelling.

Between his studies, Stephen co-founded the production company KIT3 and began production on their first two documentary projects, Good Gnocchi and the ongoing international feature, White Side with support from the Victorian Multicultural Commission and the City of Melbourne respectively. Produced during the COVID-19 pandemic,Good Gnocchi went on to premiere at the first ever Catchlight Film Festival (Formerly Sony Film Festival) and serves as a loving homage to the people who raised him.

In 2023 Stephen launched the monthly community filmmaking event 'The Untitled Movie Project', aimed at encouraging creatives to produce and showcase their experimental work in a positive and inclusive environment. Stephen's work continues with his postgraduate film, Anna, which garnered a 2023 Australian Directors Guild Award nomination and went on to premiere at the 2024 St Kilda Film Festival.
