KIT3 is a partnership of Melbourne-based filmmakers,

Stephen Di Gravio and Xavier Brydges.

With a friendship born out of a broken 50mm lens and years of being mistaken for one another at film school, the two filmmakers decided to morph into a single gelatinous blob and  continue pursuing their passion for storytelling under the umbrella of KIT3.

Stephen Di Gravio is a Naarm/ Melbourne-based writer, director & producer. Originally from the suburbs of Newcastle, Stephen grew up far from anything connected to filmmaking, and spent much of his childhood pestering his Nonno & Nonna with extravagant tales of space adventure and otherworldly creatures.

Almost a decade later Stephen holds a Bachelors and Masters in Film & TV from Swinburne University and the Victorian College of the Arts. Between his studies he co-founded the production company KIT3 and began production on their two documentary projects,  Good Gnocchi and the ongoing feature, White Side with support from the City of Melbourne and the Victorian Multicultural Commission respectively.

Stephen's work explores themes of empathy and understanding through storytelling, often through a lens of authenticity and melan-comedy (melancholy + comedy). This continues with his postgraduate film, Anna, which garnered a 2023 Australian Directors Guild Award nomination for the emerging director and premiered at the 2024 St Kilda Film Festival.
